ALTERNATIVE DISPUTE RESOLUTION
Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) is the process of resolving legal conflicts without going to trial. I have substantial experience in ADR, having acted as both judge pro tem and settlement officer for the municipal court, and routinely advise my clients on the legal consequences flowing from particular terms and conditions of all ADR options. Based on my experience, I am able to determine when a form of ADR, whether arbitration, mediation, mini-trial or private judging, is in the best interest of clients and meets their needs better than traditional litigation.
BUSINESS, COMMERCIAL LAW AND CONTRACTS
I provide a wide variety of services to my business clients, from assisting in selecting the type of organizational entity under which to operate, negotiation and preparation of agreements, sale and purchase of businesses, to dissolution.
I represent owners, contractors, construction managers, developers, design professionals, and suppliers in all aspects of the construction process, contract negotiation and formation, contract performance, mechanics’ and materialmen’s liens, and claims and dispute resolution.
LITIGATION AND APPEALS
I represent and advise clients who are or might become involved in a lawsuit as a result of a dispute, including prevention and negotiating settlements, in such areas as contract and construction disputes, commercial and contract matters, landlord-tenant disputes, both commercial and residential, and specific performance, injunctive and other equitable relief.
I represent both commercial clients and individuals in all proceedings and transactions that deal with real property-land and the structures attached to it-including purchase and sale, construction, mortgages and foreclosures, easements, leases, quiet title actions, closings, and management.
